This was a surprise. I wasn't sure if I was going to love or hate it. In the end, I truly liked it. I won't say I loved it due to minor issues... But those are solely mine.
Rosalie, a sweet 18 year old girl, running away from her life; she wants to start new, be someone new. She has no idea how. Call it fate, divine intervention, chance, but nature calls and suddenly she´s being chased by a bear in the middle of the woods, the middle of nowhere. Literally Nowhere, Colorado. She's rescued by a somewhat scary biker dude and the story begins... Paranormal twists, fate, dreams, greed, everything start to rise.
I loved how Rosalie was strong; sometimes she did make bad decisions, but I kind of forgave her because she was a little naive and, also young and she couldn't trust anyone fully. Steele.. Messes up several times but came unscathed in the end, so I gave him my approval!
What were the issues? My eternal complaint with the too-much-too-soon, insta-love thingy. I get it in PNR but sometimes we can have things develop more naturally and let some time pass in order to fully develop characters and, to fully justify and develop love so deep... I understand the whole concept of fate, divine, etc. Yadda, yadda, but in the end they fell for each other on their own, way TOO fast. I needed more development, I needed to know more, I needed to see more of Steele's good side, the caring side, the lovable side and also the badass side.
The writing was excellent, I couldn't find a flaw! The story was original, the way things were handled and how everything was explained also very good. I thought the biker theme and the paranormal were so cool.... But, I am intrigued as hell to know what's coming next... Everything is supposed to be fixed right?????
I recommend this book if you are a fan of the paranormal genre... YA since the book is fairly PG-13-ish :)
